Pete Conolly
Executive Creative Director
Pete began his career in Los Angeles as an artist and designer, founding UCLA’s Creative Technology Lab and Urge Design Studio among other ventures. Tired of the amazing weather after 12 years, he tried hard to return home to the UK but landed instead at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco. During his 7 year tenure, Pete was responsible for some of GSP's most prestigious campaigns, including HP’s iconic and multi-layered “The Computer Is Personal Again”, named as Ad Age and Adweek's "Campaign of The Year". Among other award-winning accounts, Pete went on to lead creative development on Sprint, which won GSP their largest business to date. His work now resides permanently in collections at MOMA and LACMA. Pete plays the piano pretty well, and the guitar less well. Don’t even ask about the ukulele.

James Best
Chairman
James's career is founded on wanting to know what makes people tick, and it's this curiosity that gained him a first in History from Oxford and took him to BMP as a trainee planner. He became the agency's chairman on its merger with DDB in 1989 and guided BMP DDB to three Campaign 'Agency of the Year' awards before moving to a global role in the DDB network. James joins BDA at a very exciting time for the firm and its market, a time of change, challenge and opportunity. He believes an agency's success depends on harnessing its people's unique mix of skills and talents to make its work stand out from the rest; that, and hard work. As well as BDA, James chairs the Committees of Advertising Practice and advertising think-tank Credos.

Honor Barratt
Group Managing Director
Honor started in the broadcast industry as a runner and has since clawed her way up the corporate ladder, honing her trade at various production companies along the way. In 2005 Honor attended Wharton Advanced Management Programme at the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and in 2010 the Insead 'Finance for Executives' Programme in Fontainbleau, France (in a desperate, ill-fated attempt to improve her maths). Honor has been an instrumental component in the growth of BDA since co-founding the group with Bruce and has the job of translating outlandish, creative ideas in to strong economic growth.

Then 13 years ago she settled in the UK, and after working with the Premier League, joined BDA. She speaks English, Afrikaans and Zulu, and is currently studying Spanish (hola!).
